The S7-configuration tool ConfigStage is a cost free software for configuration of INSEVIS-PLCs. And it is comparable with a hardware configuration manager. It is used for communication interfaces as well as for periphery – onboard as decentral and external. It is possible to assign Ethernet-connections, IP-address ranges or to config 2 Ethernet ports as a switch. Also mapping external CAN-slaves by their EDS-file into the S7-program blocks. Or assign Modbus Registers to your S7-variable. Add periphery by drag´n drop, assign address areas and configure I/O-functions intuitively to the selected modules. Activate the static webserver and NTP functionality for CPU-T-devices. Be sure, that an internal plausibility test works in background and will warn you to prevent address conflicts. This tool is a real sample for best practice to handle a configuration. And – it is free.
