Product Overview
PROCESSORS
2500 Series® System includes processor solutions in two form factors and two families. Our "Classic" system is completely compatible and interchangeable with the Simatic®/TI 505, while our “Compact” system maintains compatibility but in a much smaller and more modern form factor. Our “C” family of processors are completely compatible with Simatic®/TI 545 and 555 processors – running the same programs and using the same programming software. Our new “Janus” family of processors programs with an entirely new and modern IEC-standard based development system and includes extensive communications capabilities to operate in today’s data-centric applications. Janus Processors are compatible with all your existing 2500 Series® Classic and Compact I/O, as well as Simatic 505 I/O. Janus also includes a feature to emulate CAMP, the HMI/SCADA communications protocol used by the “C” Series processors. These features make it possible to upgrade the processor in an existing application to add new and more modern functionality, while still preserving the existing I/O and HMI/SCADA systems.

A full selection of analog I/O is available, with densities of 8 to 16 points per module, analog in, analog out, mixed analog, isolated and non-isolated. Our 2501, 2558, and 2562 modules are direct wiring-compatible replacements for Siemens® 505-7012/7016, 505-6108, and 505-6208 modules.

2500 Series® Bases provides slots for a Power Supply and Remote Base Controller (RBC), and various numbers of I/O modules. A variety of different mounting base options in both Classic and Compact form factors provide flexibility for many local and remote configurations. NEW 2500P bases include the new CTI high-speed channel for installation of Advanced Function Modules.

Co-processor solutions are auxiliary controllers that enhance the capabilities of all CTI 2500 Series® and SIMATIC® 505 PLC systems with high-speed processing and multi-protocol communications support to provide existing systems with a significant increase in performance, features, and functionality.

Digital I/O modules are available in densities of 8, 16, and 32 points. A full range of input and output voltages from 12VDC to 240VAC, and output currents up to 2A per channel are supported. A simulator module is available for use in development and commissioning of new Compact I/O systems.

I/O connectors attach to most 2500 Series® I/O modules and allow termination of field wiring at the PLC.
View AllPOWER SUPPLIES
A variety of power supply solutions are available which differ in their input voltage and load capacity. Our AC supplies feature automatic voltage switching and provide up to 100W of power to the base. They also feature a much longer hold-up time than available in the Siemens® power supply. CTI relay output modules feature output current up to 6A per point (4A per point for Compact) and individually fused outputs with blown fuse reporting to the PLC.
